The project was designed to capture the excitement and passion that define both football culture and the FC Bayern Munich brand.
Lihtar Studio collaborated with BluBlu Studios to create a dynamic 2D-animated sequence for a commercial promoting Betano's sponsorship of FC Bayern Munich. FC Bayern Munich is one of the world's most recognized football clubs, based in Munich, Germany.

The Challenge
In football, advertising moves fast.
The challenge was to create a highly dynamic animated sequence that could seamlessly integrate into a larger commercial while being visually memorable.
The commercial needed to be high-energy and provide instant brand recognition within only a few seconds. It had to maintain a distinctive visual style by drawing on the idea that destiny is forged through hard work, perseverance, and the pursuit of dreams. It had to maintain a distinctive visual style that stood apart from traditional live-action sports advertising yet felt authentic and relatable to the club's fans.

The Solution
Our team focused on translating the speed and intensity of football into a handcrafted 2D animation style.
We build character models based off of popular athletes to ground the animation in reality. Then, through intense character transitions and focusing on dynamic camera work featuring the football, we created sequences that captured the excitement of the game while supporting the overall narrative developed by BluBlu Studios.
Combining the live-action footage with the impact of the animated action sequences required a careful balance of structure to preserve fluid motion throughout production, from early animatics and rough passes to final compositing and delivery. This resulted in a high-energy sequence that complemented the commercial's pacing while adding a unique visual identity.

Views
The final commercial was shown across German television networks. All the commercial’s behind-the-scenes content has been published across Lihtar Studio's channels, showcasing both the final advertisement and the production process.
